Day-Wise Program
Arrive at Guwahati - Day 1
On arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, meet and transfer to your hotel. The evening is free to enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Guwahati Sightseeing - Day 2
After breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hills. It is recommended to obtain a special pass to avoid waiting. Later, take a ferry to Umananda Temple on Peacock Island, known as the smallest river island in the world. After lunch, visit Kalakshetra, a unique place showcasing the life and culture of Assam. In the evening, enjoy shopping in and around the city. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Guwahati – Manas (200 Km / 4 Hours) - Day 3
Morning after breakfast and checkout, embark on a drive to Manas National Park, a UNESCO-listed tiger reserve, covering 250 km / 5 hours, with a halt to explore tea estates along the way. Afternoon arrival and check-in at Bansbari Lodge for overnight stay in the park.
Manas National Park (Elephant and Jeep Safari) - Day 4
Early morning wake-up call to prepare for an Elephant Safari. After breakfast, enjoy a thrilling Jeep Safari, with high chances of spotting rhinos along with wild boar, hog deer, swamp deer, wild buffalo, elephants, and tigers. Overnight stay in Manas.
Manas National Park – A Trip to Pangban Bhutan (17 kms / 2 hours) - Day 5
After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Pangbani, a town bordering Bhutan. Enjoy leisure time there before returning to Manas. Overnight stay in Manas.”
Manas - Shillong (230 kms / 6 hours) - Day 6
AM: After breakfast and checkout, drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, also known as the ‘Abode of Clouds’. En route, stop at Makhan Bhog, a popular vegetarian restaurant in Jorabat, and take a midway halt at Umiam Lake for tea, coffee, snacks, or fruits. Afternoon: Check in to your hotel. Evening free to explore the century-old Wards Lake and Police Bazaar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Shillong - Day trip to Cherrapunjee - Day 7
AM: Take a full-day trip to Cherrapunjee, 56 km away (approx. 2 hours), renowned as the wettest place on Earth. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of gorges and cloud-shrouded hills along the way. Return to Shillong after lunch for overnight stay.
Shillong - Mawlynnong - Dawki – Shillong (90 kms / 2-3 hours) - Day 8
After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia. Explore the village, visit the Balancing Rock, and the Living Root Bridge. Later, proceed to Dawki and enjoy boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River, whose pristine waters leave a lasting impression. Visit the Indo-Bangladesh border before driving back to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Shillong – Pobitora Wild Life Sanctuary (130 kms / 3-4 hours) - Day 9
Today, after breakfast, drive to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, renowned for its dense population of rhinos. Check in at your hotel and proceed for a Jeep Safari post-lunch. Night stay in Pobitora.
Pobitora -Kaziranga National Park (200 kms / 5 hours)- Day 10
Early morning wake-up call for Elephant Safari. After breakfast, check out and proceed to Kaziranga National Park, famed as the land of the Big Five and a sanctuary for the one-horned rhinoceros, recently declared a Tiger Reserve. Afternoon check-in at the hotel. Evening free for sightseeing nearby tribal villages, tea estates, or hotel activities.”
Jeep Safari at Rhino land and optional Elephant Safari - Day 11
AM: OPTIONAL – Early morning wake-up for an Elephant Ride in Rhino Land. Choose either the first ride from 5:30 to 6:30 AM or the second ride from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. PM: Enjoy a thrilling Jeep Safari. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park – Majuli - Day 12
AM: After breakfast and checkout, drive 100 km (approx. 2 hours) to Majuli, the world’s largest river island and the cradle of Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture. Majuli is home to around 25–26 Satras, with Kamalabari, Auniati, and Garmur being the most prominent. These Satras continue the religious teachings of the medieval Assamese saints Sankardeva and Madhavdeva, preserving Sattriya culture, traditional crafts, and antiques such as weapons, utensils, and jewellery. The island is also famous for its pottery, made in driftwood-fired kilns, and internationally recognized handloom work. PM: Check in at Hotel Prashanti, relax, and overnight stay in Majuli.
Kaziranga National Park – Majuli - Day 12
AM: After breakfast and checkout, drive 100 km (approx. 2 hours) to Majuli, the world’s largest river island and the cradle of Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture. Early morning, after breakfast, enjoy a ferry ride to Jorhat. On arrival, transfer to Jorhat Airport to conclude the tour.
