Travel Route Plan

Day 1: Arrival at Dimapur Airport

On arrival at Dimapur Airport, meet our representative and proceed to Kohima. In the evening, visit the renowned Nagaland War Cemetery and the State Museum, offering insights into the region’s history and culture.

Day 2: Kohima – Touphema- Khonoma (60 kms/2-3 hours)

After breakfast, proceed to Touphema Village, renowned for its unique Naga traditional houses. Later, continue to Khonoma Village via the Khisama Heritage Village. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Day 3: Kohima – Kaziranga

This morning after breakfast, proceed to Kaziranga National Park. The evening is free to explore a nearby Orchid Centre, where you can enjoy a vibrant live cultural dance show. Night stay in Kaziranga.

Day 4: Elephant and Jeep Safari – Transfer to Itinagar (190 kms/3-4 hours)

Early morning wake-up call to prepare for an Elephant Safari. After breakfast, proceed for a Jeep Safari. Check out by 10:00 AM and then transfer to Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight stay in Itanagar.

Day 5: Itanagar– Ziro (110 kms/3 hours)

Journey to the picturesque Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh. Along the way, visit traditional Nyishi villages to witness their distinctive costumes and way of life. Explore Naharlagun Market and stop at Itanagar to visit the historic fort. Arrive in Ziro by evening for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Ziro – Daporijo (160 kms/3 hours)

After an early breakfast, transfer to Daporijo. The journey offers breathtaking landscapes with ever-changing views of mountains, rivers, and dense forests. Travel through the Kamla Valley, home to Nyishi villages scattered across the hills, before ascending into the Hill Miri region via winding mountain roads through thick jungles. Daporijo, located at the confluence of three valleys, is home to the Hill Miris, Tagins, and Adi Gallongs tribes, offering a unique cultural experience. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Daporijo – Kaying (190 kms/4-5 hours)

This morning, proceed towards Along, passing through the heart of Adi Galong villages. En route, encounter Tagin and Adi Galong settlements characterized by traditional bamboo houses. In Pays Galong, the homes are notably larger, more refined, and beautifully finished, often featuring spacious terraces sheltered by extended palm roofs. The Adis of Arunachal Pradesh are skilled agriculturists as well as adept hunters; keen observation of the surrounding forests reveals ingenious bamboo traps designed for different types of prey. The landscape is a vibrant mosaic of rice fields, tropical forests, pineapple plantations, and gardens growing chillies, tangerines, sugarcane, and bananas Night at the hotel.

Day 8: Kaying to Mechuka

This morning after an early breakfast, depart for Mechuka, a serene valley known for its crystal-clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and stunning snow-covered mountain views. The region is rich in history and spirituality, highlighted by the ancient Samten Yangchag Monastery and Gurudwara Guru Nanak Taposthan. On arrival, check in at the hotel, relax with a hot cup of soup, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Mechuka

After breakfast, set out to explore the scenic and cultural highlights of Mechuka. Visit the breathtaking Siko Dido Waterfall, the sacred Guru Nanak Taposthan Gurudwara, the charming Dorjeeling Village, and the historic 1962 War Point. Overnight stay in Mechuka.

Day 10: Mechuka to Aalo

This morning after an early breakfast, proceed towards Aalo. Night stay in Aalo.

Day 11: Departure (Aalo to Dibrugarh Airport Drop)

Drop at Dibrugarh Airport. Tour ends.
