Day-Wise Program
Guwahati – Shillong (110 kms / 3 hours) - Day 1
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Shillong, the picturesque capital of Meghalaya. Enjoy a visit to Umiam Lake on the way. Check in to the hotel and relax. Later, explore Lady Hydari Park and Ward’s Lake. Night stay in Shillong.
Shillong - Mawlynnong - Dawki - Shillong (90 kms / 2-3 hours) - Day 2
After breakfast, depart at 8:00 A.M. for a full-day excursion to Mawlynnong Village. On arrival, explore Asia’s cleanest village and visit the famous Single Decker Living Root Bridge at Riwai Village, a marvel of the Khasi tribes. Enjoy stunning views of Bangladesh from the 85-ft bamboo Sky Walk. Later, drive to Dawki (12 km) and enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River along the India–Bangladesh border. Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Shillong – Cherrapunjee (65 kms / 2 hours) - Day 3
After breakfast, proceed towards Cherrapunjee. En route, visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, explore Arwah Cave, Noh-Ka-Likai Falls, Eco Park, Seven Sisters Falls, and Mawsmai Cave. Later, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Cherrapunjee - Mawphlang - Laitlum- Shillong (40 kms / 3- 4 hours) - Day 4
After breakfast, head towards Mawphlang to visit the renowned Mawphlang Sacred Forest and the Khasi Heritage Village. Continue onward to Laitlum, famous for its dramatic canyon views. Later, drive back to Shillong. Evening free for leisure at Police Bazaar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Shillong – Guwahati (110 kms / 3 hours) - Day 5
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Later, visit Kalakshetra, where Assamese history and culture come alive through an engaging light and sound show. In the evening, enjoy a sunset river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Guwahati - Kamakhya Darshan - Airport (Day 6)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple. It is advisable to obtain a special entry pass in advance to minimize waiting time. After Kamakhya Darshan, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey.
