Overview

Manipur, a northeastern state of India with Imphal as its capital, shares a border with Myanmar and is bounded by Nagaland to the north. Known as a crossroads of Asian economic and cultural exchange for over 2,500 years, Manipur is renowned for its rich artistic heritage, vibrant culture, and historical significance.

Nagaland, a mountainous state in northeast India bordering Myanmar, is home to a diverse array of indigenous tribes. The state celebrates its tribal heritage through festivals and bustling local markets. Kohima, the capital, witnessed intense battles during World War II, remembered at the Kohima War Cemetery. The Nagaland State Museum showcases ancient weaponry, ceremonial drums, and other traditional cultural artifacts of the Naga people.

Day-Wise Program

Dimapur Arrival - Day 1

On arrival, meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel in Dimapur. After a short freshening up, explore Dimapur Township. Later, visit the ruins of the Kachari Kingdom, renowned for its ancient monoliths, located 12 km from the city. Overnight stay in Dimapur.

Dimapur - Kohima (75 kms / 2 hours) - Day 2

After breakfast, transfer to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland, and check in at your hotel. After freshening up, visit the Kohima War Cemetery, the Nagaland State Museum, and the Kohima Zoo. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Kohima – Sightseeing (Full day operation) - Day 3

After breakfast, transfer to Touphema Village, a charming collection of huts built in traditional Naga style, designed to give visitors an authentic experience of Naga tribal life. Nestled on a scenic hillock surrounded by lush greenery, the village showcases the culture and heritage of Nagaland. Touphema is located approximately 40 km from Kohima. Time permitting, visit the nearby Khonoma Village. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Kohima - Imphal (145 kms / 4-5 hours) - Day 4

After breakfast, transfer to Imphal, the capital of Manipur. En route, visit Khisama Village, renowned as the venue of the world-famous Hornbill Festival. Upon arrival in Imphal, explore the iconic Ima Market, also known as the Women’s Market. Time permitting, visit Kangla Fort and attend the evening prayers at the ISKCON Temple. Overnight stay at your hotel in Imphal.

Loktak and Keibul Lamjao - Day 5

After breakfast, transfer to Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world’s only floating national park, renowned for the dancing deer, Sangai. Spend the day exploring the park by boat. Later, visit the scenic Loktak Lake before returning to Imphal in the evening. Overnight stay in Imphal.

Visit to Moreh, Myanmar (Full day operation) - Day 6

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Moreh, a small town on the India–Myanmar border. Visit Tamu, a village in Myanmar, where you may stay until 2:00 PM Myanmar Standard Time. Entry into Myanmar requires special passes, which will be arranged with the assistance of our team. After the visit, drive back to Imphal for an overnight stay.

Tour Ends - Day 7

After breakfast, tour ends drop at Imphal Airport.
