Day-Wise Program

Guwahati – Shillong (110 kms / 3 hours) - Day 1

Meet our team at Guwahati Airport and start your journey to Shillong. En route, stop at the stunning Umiam Lake. After reaching the hill station, enjoy visits to Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, and the Don Bosco Museum. Relax and unwind in the beautiful climate of Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Shillong – Mawlynnong, Dawki, Shillong (89 kms / 2 and half hours) - Day 2

Enjoy an early breakfast and head towards Mawlynnong, renowned for its pristine environment. Discover attractions like the Living Root Bridge, Balancing Rock, and Sky View Point. After a delightful lunch, drive to Dawki, a picturesque border village. The transparent waters of the Umngot River offer mesmerizing views, perfect for boating. Later, travel back to Shillong for your stay. Spend your evening strolling through Police Bazaar. Overnight at Shillong.

Shillong - Day Trip To Cherrapunjee (65 kms / 2 hours) - Guwahati - Day 3

After breakfast, travel to Cherrapunjee—famous for its scenic landscapes of clouds, cliffs, and canyons. En route, stop by the majestic Elephant Falls. Explore Cherrapunjee’s treasures including limestone caves, waterfalls, Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Eco Park, Bangladesh View Point, and Thangkharang Park. Return to Guwahati by evening and enjoy a relaxing river cruise on the Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Arrive at Phuentsholing from Guwahati - Day 4

Early this morning, get ready for the drive to Phuentsholing. After arrival, transfer to the hotel and complete the required route permit procedures. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your own pace. Overnight in Phuentsholing.

Phuentsholing – Thimphu (179 kms / 5 – 6 hours drive) - Day 5

After breakfast, begin your journey to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. The mountain drive is exceptionally scenic, taking you from the tea estates of North India through winding roads, sharp bends, and rugged rocky pathways via Chukha. On arrival, check into your hotel. Relax for the afternoon, and later explore Clock Tower Square and stroll through the CBD. Overnight in Thimphu

Thimphu Sightseeing - Day 6

Thimphu will surprise you—there are no traffic lights here! Instead, the city relies on a traffic policeman whose dramatic colonial-style gestures never fail to captivate visitors. Sometimes his signals may look contradictory, but don’t worry, simply follow the flow of cars and enjoy his friendly smile.
Your sightseeing tour features the Folk Heritage Museum, National Library, Handicraft Center, Indigenous Medicine Hospital, and the Painting School. From the roadside, you will also get a beautiful view of Tashichho Dzong. Continue to the Takin Zoo to see Bhutan’s rare national animal.
Later, visit the National Memorial Chorten and the majestic Buddha statue overlooking the city. Spend your evening exploring the town from Clock Tower Square. Overnight in Thimphu.

Thimphu – Paro Valley (65 kms - 1 hour drive) - Day 7

In the morning, drive to the beautiful Paro Valley and begin your tour with a visit to the National Museum, housed in the iconic round fortress known as Ta Dzong—one of Asia’s finest natural history museums featuring an impressive collection of artifacts. Just below the museum stands the majestic Paro Dzong.
In the afternoon, explore the Paro Penlop Heritage Farmhouse, followed by a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, a sacred monastery dating back to the 7th century and among the oldest in Bhutan. Continue to the historic ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, a 17th-century fortress built to defend against Tibetan invaders, later destroyed by fire in 1951. Overnight stay in Paro.

Paro Taktsang (A day long hike) - Day 8

After an early breakfast, set out for the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), renowned worldwide for its spiritual significance and dramatic location on a cliffside. According to legend, Guru Padma Sambhava arrived here from Tibet on a tigress to impart Buddhist teachings. Overnight at your hotel in Paro.

Paro – Phuentsholing – Bagdogra (4-5 hours drive) - Day 9

After breakfast, depart for Bagdogra via Phuentsholing. Complete the vehicle transition to an Indian-number car and proceed towards Bagdogra for your onward flight or travel plans.
